Hi, I’m Jacqui
I’m a business leader, coach, communication specialist and MD of The Pathway Communication Company. We work with businesses like yours to help you identify the thing that is stopping your business being as successful as it could be.
And then helping you to fix it!
I have had a long and varied career in corporate companies in the industrial, manufacturing and engineering space. I began as a Control Engineer at college at age 16 and then was the first female apprentice at Philips in the UK.
My career has included internal and field sales, in the UK and USA, and I have managed sales teams and IT help desks for Cegelec and Eurotherm/Invensys.
Joining Festo in 2001 as a Product Manager I quickly became a part of the marketing and training teams in Festo’s HQ in Germany, being asked to lead and develop sales training for new product releases and being a part of the successful release of revolutionary new products. This experience fired my enthusiasm for what good communication looks like and how one issue in a department or business can have far-reaching unintended consequences.
Using a company’s goals and strategy to communicate with the employees was something I experienced as an employee. Then, working with the MD, we developed the concept further and saw it implemented throughout Festo worldwide. It worked so well and had such amazing results that we decided to take the concept and introduce it to other companies. We started working with owners of companies and their boards to transform communications, seeing employee engagement, retention and company morale increase.
Leaving Festo I set up The Pathway Communication Company Ltd and continue to work with companies, executives and management teams to improve their internal communications.
I decided to train as a business coach, so many of the skills used in coaching help me when working with Senior Leaders – after all, it is all about good communication, listening and asking great questions. Training with Creative Results Management I am now an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation and have also done some training with the Association of Business Mentors.
As a woman in engineering, I am passionate about engineering as a career and have spoken at many events including at the University of Northampton and am a STEM ambassador.
Outside of work, I am Chair of Trustees of a charity and on the leadership team at my church, Harrowby Lane Methodist Church in Grantham. I value integrity and like to work with people I can trust.
Through my belief in continuous improvement and commitment to personal development, I have completed and implemented numerous work-based training courses in sales training, DiSC® behaviour styles, individual and team coaching. I am an Associate Credited Coach with the International Coach Federation and a licenced trainer with E3-LDV Leadership Development.
bOOK ME AS A SPEAKER
I love speaking and have spoken at many events over a number of years. The main topics I speak on are:
Being a woman in engineering: I was the first women apprentice in Philips in the UK and then the first sales engineer many engineers had ever seen! I have many tales to tell of then and now, what has changed and what we can still do better.
Communications in business: so many issues in a business can be helped by better communications; retention of staff, company culture, engagement and empowerment of employees to name a few. By identifying possible issues and then providing solutions this talk provides tips that people can take away and implement immediately as well as some discussion of the underlying issues.
I recently spoke at the Work Health Hub part of the University of Derby and at Grantham Business Club.
Harry Whinney on LinkedIn commented: Well done, Jacqui. A truly absorbing insight into your career, hurdles and accomplishments over the years. You held the room and certainly should speak more.
IT’S NOT JUST ME 😊
I work with a number of associates to ensure that the work we do is of the highest quality and is developed and delivered by a range of people.
Gary Wyles is the owner of E3-LDV.
Gary started me on my coaching and strategy journeys. He introduced me to both when I worked for him whilst he was the MD of Festo Ltd.
After he left Festo I worked with him around the world as we trained large corporate businesses in coaching and leadership. In recent years we have travelled to South East Asia, Europe and the United States of America.
Gary now licences his training content and methods to selected trainers and companies and I am thrilled to have been accepted as a licenced user of E3-LDV’s training which I use as the basis of some of my training.
