Sometimes you just need someone to facilitate your event.
A facilitator can help any meeting run more smoothly. Having someone else to help guide and manage group discussions and activities to achieve specific goals or outcomes is invaluable. And having someone who will be neutral and impartial during any discussions whilst encouraging the participants to contribute and ensuring everyone is heard is invaluable.
Facilitators typically have a number of skills. In my case I am an accredited business coach, a mentor and a trainer. I also have a background in multi-national industrial companies as a control engineer, in sales, management, and marketing. All of these skills help me to perform as a facilitator for many types of meetings.
And although a facilitator is neutral in discussions they will guide the whole team through a process to ensure an outcome is achieved.
So if you want a result from any meeting then lets have a chat about how I can help
What can we facilitate?
One example is building a strategy – we have helped large and small companies set goals and then build the strategies and action steps needed to achieve those goals. Being able to work with your team instead of lead them through a process of setting and building a strategy is invaluable and helps you truly be part of future planning for your organisations, company or department.
Recent examples include:

A UK subsidiary of a global industrial organisation asked me to take the topics they had identified as key for achieving their 5 year goals and run an event where the key drivers for those topics came together, set goals for each topic and then put a strategy in place with defined actions and goals. Once that was complete I met with them quarterly to review progress. Yes the MD could have done this himself but a) he wanted to be part of the conversation not running it and b) having an external facilitator running the event meant that the importance of this strategy was underlined and was distinct from business as usual

An industry body wanted to run a strategy review event for its members. The team wanted to be part of the workshop, so they asked me to facilitate the day and then to work with them afterward to identify a number of key strategies to take forward. We worked together to put an agenda together and the day was a great success with new elements introduced to ensure that all members had their say about their key interests.

A large charity wanted to run a day where they looked to the future – looking at new trends and seeking to understand what direction the charity should move in the future. We set an agenda and ran a successful brainstorming day resulting in a clear direction and action points to move forward.

With Jacqui’s planning and expertise, our meeting was ran really well and she helped to drive open and constructive discussions. Looking forward to Jacqui’s assistance in March 2025 to follow up on the next steps in our strategic plan.”

“Jacqui is very skilled at helping to articulate and manage a strategic plan. We worked together for more than 4 years at Biesse Ltd and went on a great journey of continuous improvement in all areas of the business. With her help and support, I saw our managers grow and I can categorically say that we wouldn’t have been where we are without her involvement.”

previously Managing Director at Biesse Ltd
